Storm Preparation
Securing furniture, plants, and other valuables
We go through all of the necessities at the start of each storm season to ensure your house is ready. Enforcement-Homewatch will bring any outside furniture, plants, or other costly possessions inside to ensure they are safe from the storm.
Windows and Storm Shutters
Enforcement-Homewatch will check that all windows and sliding glass are properly closed and covered, including storm shutters. We will examine and close the automatic and/or hydraulic shutter systems. Storm panels will require collaboration with contractors when they are installed.
Stow Away Potential Projectiles
Preparing your home for a storm includes storing potentially deadly projectiles around the exterior of your home that might damage your property, your neighbors' property, or worse, harm another person.
Storm Assessment
Initial Visual Check
We understand how concerned our clients are about whether or not their home is still standing. As a result, once a storm has passed, we will be at your property within 72 hours, as soon as it is safe to do so. Then we do a first visual inspection of both the outside and inside. We will send you an initial report (telecommunications allowing) so that you can keep up to date.
Substantive Detailed Check
After we have visited each home to provide each customer with the peace of mind they deserve, we will return and undertake a more substantial detailed examination of the inside and outside of your property for evident damage, accompanied by a full report and photographs. We will also begin to take efforts to reduce any additional harm, if necessary.
Coordinating Contractor and Vendor Appointments
We realize how critical it is to return your house to its pre-storm condition. As a result, we will schedule contractor visits, record and photograph each job, and keep you updated at all times. Depending on your requirements, we may keep an eye on and monitor contractors and vendors, assess their progress, and report back to you - acting as your eyes and ears.
